The 3rd BDS students are trained in the field of General Surgery. Sree Balaji Dental College & Hospital has an exclusive department of General Surgery in the Dental Hospital Building. This General surgery department caters the surgical needs of Patients coming for Dental treatments and supportive care for all clinical departments. Students are trained and exposed to various surgical conditions here at a basic level. Students take advanced Gen. Surgery training at Sree Balaji Medical College Hospitals, where they have excellent exposures to various Surgical conditions and treatment modalities.

The department of general surgery also conducts several camps at surrounding areas every month. The department of general surgery also takes care of the ICU at an affordable price without compromising on quality for the benefit of the patients.
